PHILADELPHIA -- Rhode Island scored two second half goals, helping push the Rams to a 3-1 victory at La Salle on Friday afternoon.

URI (3-12-2; 3-4-1 A-10) got on the scoreboard first, as Kaylen Shimoda tallied her team-best sixth goal of the season. Shimoda converted a Nelli Ruotsalainen pass in the 32nd minute, beating Explorers goalkeeper Gabby Pakhtigian.

La Salle tied the match in the 55th minute, but Rhody tacked on two more scores. Ashley Evangelista registered her first tally of the season - the eventual gamewinner - off a Courtney David pass.

Stephanie Santos added her third goal of the season - from Evangelista - in the 74th minute.

For the game, Sasha Reiber made four saves, allowing just one goal. La Salle outshot URI, 11-8, with both teams putting five shots on net.

Rhody closes out the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 31 when it travels to Fordham for a 1 p.m. game.
