Men's Soccer Falls at Saint Louis, 1-0

ST. LOUIS - The Rhode Island men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision, Friday night at Saint Louis. The loss drops Rhody to 3-12-2 (1-6-1 Atlantic 10) while the Billikens improve to 8-6-2 (5-3-0).

After a scoreless first half, SLU's Alex Johnston netted what proved to be the game-winning goal when he scored off a corner kick by Devon Newport. Chad Vandegriffe was also credited with an assist on the tally, which was Johnston's first of the season.

For the game, Rhody held a 6-2 advantage in shots on goal - including attempts by seniors Dwayne Williams and Jonathan Pereira, which were both stopped by Saint Louis goalkeeper Mark Pais in the final five mintues.

Rhode Island's Peyton Warwick finished with one save on the night while Pais turned away six shots for his fourth shutout of the season.

The Rams will play their final game of the season at Charlotte on Sunday.
