What It Means:
Rhode Island has its nine-game win streak snapped against Brown, falling to the Bears for the first time since Dec. 28, 2001. The loss also drops the overall series record to 100-53. Rhody also falls to 1-6 on the season.

Inside the Box Score and Beyond:
* For the sixth time in seven games, Rhode Island had more turnovers than assists. URI is 0-6 when posting a negative assist/turnover ratio.

* Head coach Jim Baron shuffled the starting lineup a bit. All five players who had earned the start previously - Wilson, Outerbridge, Malesevic, Holton, and Powell - came off the bench.

* In their place, freshmen Rayvon Harris and TJ Buchanan, along with Levan Shengelia, Ryan Brooks and Anthony Malhoit, comprised the starting five. It marked the first career starts for all except Brooks, who started the first seven games of the 2009-10 season

* After coming off an 0-for-8 performance from the outside against Cleveland State, Rhody knocked down 5-of-9 treys over the Brown zone in the first half. The Rams got cold from the outside in the second half, connecting on just 1-of-12 from beyond the arc.

* Dominique McKoy registered a season-high with four steals.

* Rhody outrebounded the Bears, 46-32, for the game. The Rams shot just 34.5% from the floor, giving them more opportunities on the offensive glass, which translated into 19 2nd chance points.

* Free throw shooting was a problem tonight for Rhode Island, as they connected on just 47.6% from the line (10-21). The last time URI shot lower than 47.0% from the line (min. 20 attempts) was against Temple on Jan. 10, 2010 when they were just 12-of-26 (46.2%).
