KINGSTON, R.I. – The Rhode Island women's rowing team hits the water for its first race of the spring Saturday, hosting Massachusetts and New Hampshire in the Yankee Cup. The Rams also host Boston College in the Resolute Cup.
Though there are two separate events, all racing will be held simultaneously.
"We are very excited to get our racing season started," Rhode Island head coach Shelagh Donohoe said. "UMass, UNH and Boston College are extremely competitive programs and we expect fierce racing this weekend. Practices have been going well and now we have to execute on race day."
Racing begins at 10:30 a.m. at URI's Campanella Rowing Center.

10:30 a.m. - Novice 8: Rhode Island, Boston College, Massachusetts, New Hampshire
10:50 a.m. - Varsity 4B: Rhode Island, Boston College, Massachusetts, Massachusetts Lt. Wt.
11:10 a.m. - Varsity 4 A: Rhode Island, Boston College, Massachusetts, New Hampshire
11:30 a.m. – JV8: Rhode Island, Boston College, Massachusetts, New Hampshire
11:40 a.m. – MEN'S Race
11:50 a.m. –Varsity 8: Rhode Island, Boston College, Massachusetts, New Hampshire
12:00 p.m. –MEN'S Race
12:10 p.m. –3rd Varsity 8: Boston College, New Hampshire
