Rhode Island placed third out of six teams in the women's collegiate 8+ 500-meter sprint held at the Head of the Oklahoma Saturday night.

In the night sprint, Rhody was 2.43 second behind second-place Oklahoma. USC won the race with a time of 1:35.19. The Rams also placed fifth out of 21 teams in the Women's Collegiate 8+ 4,000m race earlier on Saturday at the Head of the Oklahoma. USC also won that race.

Rhode Island's lineup for both races consisted of Allison Zolnowsky, Hannah Milam, Jess Bergen, Lily Herberger, Sophia Labeko, Marisa Landry, Chloe Beach, Kate Capistran and cox Alissa Margraf.

Rhode Island competes at the Princeton Chase Sunday, Oct. 26.
