How it Happened:
Both teams were held scoreless for the first 82 minutes, before Fordham's Jessica Widmann tallied the lone goal of the match. Prior to that, URI's Katie Nickles stopped all four shots she saw. In the first half, Nicole Brennan had the best scoring chance for Rhody, however was unable to get it past Fordham goalkeeper Megan Fitzgerald.
Rhody's best shot to tie it came in the 88th minute by Amanda Nardella, whose header inside the box was stopped by Fitzgerald.
