How It Happened
Taylor Ross got the Rams on the board quickly scoring only 1:52 into the game, as she tapped in a cross from Ari Stanton for her third goal in as many games. UMass would tie it up ten minutes later as Julia Weithofer fired a shot from the 12 yard box pass URI goalkeeper Katie Nickles.

The Minutewomen would score two more times in the half. Erin Doster scored in the 31st minute scoring on a shot from inside the eight yard box. Six minutes later UMass scored off a corner kick in the 36th minute to take a 3-1 lead into the half. 

Ellie Bailes cut the lead to 3-2 early in the second half, when she scored late in the 51st minute for her first goal of the season.  Less than 10 minutes later UMass added some insurance on a header by Jackie Bruno in the 61st minute to take the lead for good.
