How it Happened
Bryant (15-16) got the only runs it would need in the top of the first when Robby Rinn's two-run single drove in both Jordan Mountford and Matt Albanese. The Bulldogs added two more in the fourth and another in the fifth for the eventual 5-0 win.
Rhode Island (15-15-1) recorded a season-low four hits in the loss, one each from Martin Taveras, Chris Hess, Connor Foreman and Nick DeRegis.

- Redshirt freshman Chris Hess belted his team-leading fourth triple of the season in the bottom of the seventh.
- Senior Nick DeRegis singled and stole second in the bottom of the third.
- Defensively, redshirt junior Derek Gardella threw out two base-runners attempting to steal second.
- Redshirt sophomore Ben Wessel was charged with the loss, allowing four runs on six hits over a four-inning start. He also recorded his first pickoff of the season.
- Freshman Dan Jacobson tossed 2.2 innings of relief, scattering five hits and giving up one run with a pair of strikeouts.
- Matt O'Neil (1.1 IP) and Taso Stathopoulos (1.0 IP) combined to close things out with two and a third scoreless innings. The pair allowed only one hit and struck out three.
- Overall, Rhody's pitchers combined for six strikeouts with just one walk.
- Bryant's Brandon Bingel earned the win as he allowed just three hits over 6.2 scoreless innings.
