How It Happened
1st Half

  • Katie Nickles was challenged early on, stopping two UNH shots in the 11th and 12th minutes.  
  • The Rhody GK made four saves in the first half.

2nd Half             

  • Rhody had several chances in the final 2:00 of play in the half, as Alexa Elworthy and Katrin Gylfadottir each put a shot on net, stopped by UNH GK Mimi Borkan. 
  • Ari Stanton also had a shot go wide during that offensive flurry.

Extra Time

  • Rhode Island attempted two shots in the first OT, with Emily Wakeford and Racheal Lieberman each trying to find the back of the net in the 93rd minute. 
  • Ari Stanton's 108th minute strike was the best scoring attempt during extra time, but Borkan again came up with the same. 
  • The two sides didn't find any openings in extra time and the game ended in a 0-0 draw.

  • UNH outshot Rhody, 15-9, in the 110 minutes of play - including an 8-3 edge in shots on goal.
  • Ari Stanton led URI with three shots attempted.  Emily Wakeford tallied two shots.
