How it Happened
Trailing 2-0 after six innings, Rhode Island (5-8) cut the Tigers' lead in half in the top of the seventh when Mike Foley scored on a dropped fly ball.

Mike Corin and Chase Livingston led off the top of the eighth with back-to-back singles, before each advanced a base on a wild pitch. Foley then reached on an error which allowed Corin to cross the plate and knot the score at 2-2. Kevin Heiss then dropped a bunt single down the third base line, loading the bases for Jordan Powell, whose sacrifice fly plated Livingston and gave Rhody the 3-2 advantage.

Connor Foreman was then hit by a pitch, once again loading the bases for the Rams. A sac-fly by Chris Hess then scored Foley before Heiss crossed the plate on an RBI single by Martin Figueroa. Ryan Olmo followed with a pinch-hit double to push across Foreman and make it a 6-2 game.

Livingston ripped his second double of the day to lead off the eighth and eventually came around to score on a two-out infield single by Powell for the 7-2 victory.

The Rhody pitching staff held Towson (3-14) to just one hit - a solo home run - from the fourth inning through the end of the game.
