How it Happened
Trailing 1-0 after seven innings, Rhode Island finally got on the board and pulled ahead in the bottom of the seventh. Laurence Hill got things started by drawing a leadoff walk, after falling behind in the count 0-2. Brett McManus then drove a ball deep into right center for the game-tying RBI triple. Chase Livingston followed with a sac fly that plated McManus and gave the Rams their first lead of the game.
With his pitch count approaching 100, starter Tyler Wilson went back out for the eighth and got three straight strikeouts to quickly send the Rams back into the dugout. Rhody kept the momentum going from there, plating two more runs for a little bit of breathing room. Martin Figueroa singled to center to lead things off, and later scored on a two-out triple by Hill. McManus followed with his third hit of the afternoon - a base hit that drove in Hill and put Rhody on top 4-1.
Wilson then finished it off with a 1-2-3 ninth, punctuating the victory with a game-ending strikeout.
Inside the Box Score
- With the win, Rhode Island improves to 6-4 in the Atlantic 10 and 14-19 overall. Meanwhile, St. Bonaventure falls to 4-6 in the conference and 17-14-1 overall.
- Sophomore Tyler Wilson allowed just one hit and one (unearned) run over nine complete innings, improving to 7-1 on the season. He has now gone 18.2 consecutive innings without allowing an earned run.

- Redshirt freshman Laurence Hill also factored into three of Rhody's four runs on the day, scoring twice and recording his second RBI of the season on an eighth-inning triple that scored junior Martin Figueroa.
- Figueroa accounted for two of Rhody's nine hits, singling in both the third and eighth innings.
- Senior catcher Chase Livingston threw out his 11th base runner of the season and also drove in what proved to be the game-winning run.
