How it Happened
Matt O'Neil's 10th-inning home run lifted the Rams to a 5-2 victory over visiting Brown, Tuesday afternoon at Bill Beck Field. The three-run, opposite-field shot - which was O'Neil's sixth of the season - improved the Rams to 16-13 overall and 5-0 when playing on their home field.

Rhode Island got the scoring started in the bottom of the third, taking a 1-0 lead after Kyle Beaulieu was hit by a pitch, stole second and then scored on a Chris Hess single into shallow centerfield.

Brown (9-14) evened it up in the top of the fifth, and pulled ahead 2-1 in the top of the sixth, but Rhody came back and knotted it up at two apiece in bottom of the seventh. There, Mike Corin worked an 0-2 count into a leadoff walk, advanced to second on a Justin Jewell single, moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Jesse Lee and crossed the plate on an RBI groundout by Greg Cavaliere.

Brown managed just one base-runner the rest of the way.

The Rams also had a chance to walk off with the win in the bottom of the ninth but Lee was stranded at third base after walking, stealing second and advancing to third on a wild pitch - all with two away.
