How it Happened
The early perimeter shooting for Fordham was too much for Rhode Island, as the visitors knocked off URI 64-58 Friday afternoon.

Fordham's Anna DeWolfe, the leading scorer in the Atlantic 10, scored 17 of her game-high 27 points before halftime as Fordham built a 40-24 lead by the break. Fordham (6-2, 3-1 A-10) used a fast 8-0 spurt in the second quarter to establish a double-digit lead, 26-14 at 6:21. DeWolfe had all eight points, hitting back-to-back 3-pointers and a layup to put her team in control.

Rhode Island (2-5, 2-2 A-10) fought hard throughout, trimming the lead to as little as six points in the second half. A layup from Emmanuelle Tahane made the score 61-55, but that was as close as the Rams got.

The win was the fourth in a row for Fordham.
