How it Happened
Saint Louis jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute when Simon Becher found the back of the net off assists from Chandler Vaughn and Isaiah Parker. The Billikens struck again just before the break, going up 2-0 on a penalty kick by Kipp Keller.

Just over 10 minutes into the second half, John Klein scored to give SLU a comfortable 3-0 lead.

Rhode Island avoided the shutout, thanks to an 86th-minute penalty kick by
Patrick Agyemang.
