Set One – Rhode Island 25, George Mason 22
Rhode Island got off to a 4-0 start, and never trailed in the set.
Claire Wagner led the way for the Rams with 10 kills. Rhody also took advantage of six attack errors and three service errors by the Patriots. George Mason eventually tied the score at 18-18, but URI claimed the next three points and outlasted Mason 25-22.

Set Two – Rhode Island 25, George Mason 16
The second set was all URI as the Rams scored the first seven points and quickly pushed the lead to double digits at 12-2. Rhody did not allow George Mason to score consecutive points until the Patriots got four in a row pull back within 10 at 21-11. Another 4-0 push got Mason within eight (23-15) but Rhode Island claimed two of the next three points to win the set.

Set Three – George Mason 25, Rhode Island 23
The third set was tight throughout with neither team leading by more than three at any point. The Rams appeared to be in control at 20-17, but Mason closed things out on a 8-2 tear to avoid the sweep.
Set Four – Rhode Island 25, George Mason 17
The Rams and Patriots traded points, as well as the lead, throughout the first half of the set. With the Patriots leading 13-12, URI reeled off seven straight points to pull ahead 19-13 and held Mason to just four more points the rest of the way.
Inside the Box Score
- Junior Claire Wagner led Rhode Island with a career high 24 kills. She narrowly missed the double-double as she also had nine digs.Â
- Sophomore Brynne Wright and junior Gillian Klise also recorded career highs with 14 and 10, respectively.
- Klise also added four blocks while Wright had two and 10 digs.
- Senior Tori Britton finished with eight kills, four digs and four blocks.
- Senior Ella Ratzloff had 16 digs and seven assists.
- Freshman Grace Hammond (25) and junior Adel Gage (24) combined for 49 assists. Gage added six digs while Hammond had three kills.
