Erica Robles gave Rhode Island a 1-0 lead in the top of the second with a solo home run. The lead was short lived, as James Madison got a two-run homer of its own when Hannah Shifflet smacked a two-out to put the Dukes up, 2-1.
The Dukes put the game out of reach with a nine-run outburst in the bottom of the fourth inning. James Madison hit three two-run home runs in the frame.
