KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island's baseball team will travel to Charlotte for a three-game series following a schedule shakeup. The Rams and 49ers will play a doubleheader Saturday and a single game on Sunday afternoon.
URI initially was scheduled to travel to Hofstra for a weekend series. That series was called off due to a COVID-19 situation within the Hofstra program. Similarly, Charlotte was originally had a three-game series with Charleston on the schedule, but Charleston had to cancel.
The first two games of the Rhode Island-Charlotte series will be played at Truist Field, the home of the Triple A Charlotte Knights of the International League. The Knights are the Triple A affiliate of the Chicago White Sox and have played in Uptown Charlotte since Truist Field opened in 2014.

Scouting Charlotte
