Set One – Rhode Island 25, Holy Cross 21
Claire Wagner (7),
Jamie Smith (6) and
Tori Britton (3) combined for 15 kills with zero errors, leading Rhode Island to a 25-21 victory in the opening set. URI never trailed in the set, opening on a 8-3 run and pushing the lead to seven at 14-7. The Crusaders responded with an 8-1 push that evened the score at 15 apiece, but that was as close as they would get. URI claimed six of the next eight points, and eventually used back-to-back kills from
Jamie Smith and Wagner to finish on top 25-21.
Set Two – Rhode Island 25, Holy Cross 15
The Rams and Crusaders traded points throughout the beginning of the set with neither team leading by more than three points until consecutive Holy Cross attack errors put URI ahead 16-12. Rhody then closed on a 9-3 tear for the convincing 25-15 victory.

Set Three – Rhode Island 25, Holy Cross 23
Holy Cross rallied back in the third set, opening on a 7-1 run. The Rams then scored four straight points to close the gap, and continued to chip away. A Crusaders' attack error later tied the score at 12-12 before kills by
Tori Britton and
Mariah Paulette gave Rhody its first lead at 14-13. With the Rams leading 17-16, Holy Cross then reeled of six straight points to move ahead 22-17. URI fought its way back once again, using a 5-1 push to get back on top 23-22 and forcing the Crusaders to call a timeout. Holy Cross scored the next point to tie the score at 23-23 but
Jamie Smith got back-to-back kills to finish off the sweep.

Inside the Box Score
- Grad student Jamie Smith registered a match-high 16 kills. She had just one error on the afternoon for a .556 hitting percentage.
- Junior Claire Wagner recorded her second consecutive double-double with 12 kills and 12 digs.
- Junior Adel Gage also double-doubled, finishing with 12 assists and 12 digs.
- Freshman Grace Hammond nearly recorded a double-double as she had 17 assists and nine digs as well as two service aces.
- Senior Tori Britton added seven kills, four blocks and a pair of digs.
- Senior Ella Ratzloff led Rhody with 17 digs. She also had five assists.
