Tori Britton kill made the score 20-5 Rhode Island, but the Warriors battled back with an 11-3 run that cut the URI lead to seven (23-16). The Rams grabbed the next two points however, to end the late threat and seal the set at 25-16.

Jamie Smith gave URI set point at 24-17, Merrimack reeled off five consecutive points to close the gap to just three (24-21) before another kill by Smith ended things with Rhody on top 25-21.
