Set One – Texas Tech 25, Rhode Island 13
Texas Tech took a quick 5-1 lead before a 4-1 Rhody run cut it to 6-5. The Red Raiders then claimed the next eight points to open up a 14-5 advantage. After three straight URI points made it 14-8, Texas Tech halted the Rams' momentum with a 3-1 run and did not allow Rhody to score consecutive points the rest of the way.  

Set Two – Texas Tech 25, Rhode Island 16
The Rams and Red Raiders battled back and forth through the beginning of the second set with neither team leading by more than three points until Texas Tech pulled ahead 11-7. Rhode Island hung close, but was never able to reclaim the lead as the Red Raiders closed out the 25-16 win.
 
Set Three – Texas Tech 25, Rhode Island 16
Texas Tech kept rolling in the third set, opening on a 5-0 run and pushing the lead to 14-7. A 6-0 push by Rhode Island cut the Red Raiders' lead to just one at 14-13 but that was as close as the Rams would get as Texas Tech outscored URI 11-3 down the stretch to complete the three-set sweep.

• Graduate Jamie Smith led Rhode Island with eight kills in the match.
• Senior Mariah Paulette added seven kills and three blocks.
• Seniors Ella Ratzloff (13) and Abby Fillion (10) combined for 23 digs.
• Freshman Grace Hammond led Rhode Island with 12 assists. She also added nine digs.
• Junior Claire Wagner had the lone service ace of the match for Rhody.
