Set One – Texas State 25, Rhode Island 15
Rhode Island took advantage of back-to-back Bobcats errors to take an early 3-1 lead. Texas State then scored four in a row to pull ahead 5-3. URI tied it at 5-5 but the Bobcats claimed the next two points and never trailed again, slowly pulling away for the 25-15 victory.  

Set Two – Texas State 25, Rhode Island 19
After Texas State took a 4-1 lead, Rhode Island came back and tied the score at 7-7 on an ace by Mariah Paulette. The Bobcats then got three in a row to take the lead for good. The Rams cut it to one - at 11-10 and 13-12 - but were unable to get back on top as Texas State claimed the set 25-19.
 
Set Three – Texas State 25, Rhode Island 18
The Rams took control early on and held on to the lead as late as 16-15. However, the Bobcats buckled down and allowed Rhody just two more points the rest of the way, using a 10-2 run to close out the match.

Inside the Box Score

• Freshman Brittany Myers recorded a team-high 11 kills for the Rams.
• Senior Gabrielle Shilling and graduate Jamie Smith each had six kills. Smith also added five digs and one block.
• Senior Mariah Paulette added five kills and a pair of service aces.
• Freshman Grace Hammond finished with 29 assists and eight digs
• Senior Ella Ratzloff had 12 digs and a pair of assists.
