KINGSTON – For the third time, Rhode Island's Atlantic 10 opener will be postponed. The league announced Monday night that four more A-10 contests scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 5 have been postponed due to COVID-related issues.

For the Rhode Island-George Mason game, it is the Patriots who are in COVID protocols. In addition to the URI-George Mason contest, the following A-10 games have been postponed:

• George Washington at Duquesne (George Washington in COVID protocols)
• La Salle at Saint Louis (La Salle in COVID protocols)
• Fordham at St. Bonaventure (Fordham in protocols)

Rhode Island is working on adding a non-conference game for Wednesday. Updates to the schedule will be posted to GoRhody.com as they become official.
