Renna later won both the 100- and 200-yard backstroke races. Her win in the 200 race led a 1-2-3 finish for URI. Renna won with a time of 2:10.92, while sophomore

Standouts From the Pool
- Freshmen Rylee Kelly and Emily Makin each won a pair of individual events for Rhode Island. Kelly won both the 1000- and 500-yard freestyle races, while Makin took the 100- and 200-yard breaststroke events.
- In the 1000 free, Kelly was nearly 14 seconds ahead of the field with her time of 10:57.66. The second-place finisher had a time of 11:11.03.
- In the 500, Kelly just edged teammate Maddie Tetreault. Kelly won in 5:17.15, while Tetreault was right behind in 5:18.47.
- Makin's time of 1:06.61 in the 100-yard breaststroke led a 1-4 finish for URI. Junior Mackenzie Thomas (1:07.69), sophomore Hannah Benevides (1:08.47) and senior Aimee Garcia (1:08.84) finish first through fourth.
- Freshman Ella Hacker won the 200-yard butterfly in a time of 2:09.68, nearly five seconds in front of the field.
What's Next
Rhode Island is off until Saturday, Oct. 29 when it travels to Springfield, Mass. for a tri-meet with Springfield College and Coast Guard.
