How it Happened
Rhode Island fell 3-1 at Fordham Sunday afternoon.
The teams were set to go into the break knotted scoreless before the Rams of the Bronx scored with just 20 seconds remaining until the half. Fordham went into the halftime with a 1-0 lead.
Fordham doubled its advantage coming out of the break, after Kristen Cocozza had a long shot to get past keeper Faith Hutchins. Rhody was able to break a three-game scoring drought after a shot by Tali O'Leary found the back of the net after Brooke Cavino's initial shot was saved. O'Leary had the touch off the rebound for the goal. Despite the score by URI, Fordham put the game away with a blast from Cambrie Arboreen for the 3-1 final.

- Senior Tali O'Leary netted her second goal of the season. She joins sophomore Tierra Garniss and senior Brooke Cavino as the third Ram with at least two goals to their credit on the season.
- Fordham limited Rhody to just three shots in the first half. In the second, URI had 10 shots to Fordham's four.
- Neither team drew a corner kick in the second half of play.
