Scoring Summary
15:36 – LOY – Hency (Moskal, Cisneros)
75:43 – URI – Agyemang (Purcell)
How It HappenedÂ
Loyola struck first, taking the lead just 15:36 into the game. It was Billy Hency putting the home team on the board when he fired a right-footed shot past
Max Hinke from just inside the 18-yard box. Rhode Island went the entire first half without a shot and trailed 1-0 at the break.
Â
The Rams finally equalized in the 76th minute when
Patrick Agyemang found the back of the net for the seventh time this season. Just 13 seconds after subbing into the game,
Cian Purcell played a long ball into the box, connecting with Agyemang on the edge of the 6-yard box. Agyemang won the service over a Loyola defender, and then pushed a shot – off the bottom of his heel – between two Ramblers and past a diving Simon Jillson to even the score at one apiece.
Â
Hinke made two of his five saves in the final 12 minutes of the game to preserve the 1-1 draw.
