Set One – Fordham 25, Rhode Island 23
Trailing by four points late, Rhode Island reeled off four straight to knot the score, 23-23. Brynne Wright came up with a kill and a service ace to start the run. Claire Wagner delivered a kill to get the Rams within one point, and an attack error by Fordham tied the score. Fordham's Zoe Talabong ended the URI run with a kill, and an attack error by Rhody ended the set.

Set Two – Fordham 25, Rhode Island 20
Rhode Island's offense was clicking in the second set, as URI hit .273 as a team, recording 13 kills with just four attack errors. However, Fordham pulled away late for the second straight set. With the score tied 17-17, the visitors used a 6-1 run to build the first significant lead for either side. A Chloe Pejouan kill followed by a Mallory Lipsky ace made the score 23-18. Zoe Talabong got Fordham to set point with a kill to make it 24-19. URI managed to stave off one set point on a Claire Wagner kill, but Whitley Moody's kill gave the guests a 2-0 set lead.

Set Three – Fordham 25, Rhode Island 21 
The third set was a wave of runs by both sides. Fordham took seven of the first nine points before URI responded with a 7-2 spurt of its own. Neither side led by more than two again until a 6-0 run by URI put the hosts up 16-12 after a block from Karlee Pinell and Samantha Blahut. Fordham used a 9-1 run to pull back in front, 21-17. URI tried to fight back, getting kills from Brynne Wright Claire Wagner got Rhody within 22-21, but Fordham ran off the final three points to close out the match.

  • Fordham picked up its first Atlantic 10 victory, improving to 7-9 overall and 1-4 in conference play.
  • Rhode Island fell to 4-14 and 0-5 in the A-10. Rhody dropped its sixth straight overall.
  • Junior Brynne Wright led Rhode Island's attack with nine kills to go with seven digs.
  • Sophomore libero Hannah Blaney had 17 digs.
  • Redshirt freshman Hope Passerello had 22 assists, eight digs and three kills.
  • Freshman Karlee Pinell had a team-best .500 attack percentage. She finished with eight kills and just one error in 14 total attacks.
