Racing at Nathan Benderson Park was slightly delayed due to weather conditions. However, Saturday's semifinal heats were able to be completed despite a one-hour delay to begin the morning.
Saturday's semifinals were used to determine spots in the finals on the final day of competition Sunday. In each of the Semifinal 3 and Semifinal 4 races, the top three finishers advanced to Sunday's C Finals, while the two remaining boats in each heat landed in the D Finals.
