How it Happened
Rhode Island played Saint Joseph's to a scoreless draw Sunday afternoon, its third of the season.
While Rhode Island maintained possession for most of the first half, the Rams couldn't connect on anything offensively. The teams went into the break scoreless, 0-0.
The second half of play was similar to the first, with back and forth action from both sides. The final two minutes saw two huge saves by both keepers, with a stop first by St. Joe's Katie Cappelletti after a Hope Santaniello blast was stopped between the posts. The Hawks had a similar shot from Ashley Orendac, but Faith Hutchins had the save to keep the Rams net empty for their fifth tie.
