How it Happened
Despite a dominant edge in total shots, Rhode Island could not find the back of the net and settled for a scoreless draw against Richmond Thursday night.

The Rams outshot their guests 26-9 and had an 8-2 edge in shots on goal. However, Richmond keeper Taylor Montague turned away eight shots to keep her squad in the match.

Rhode Island's defense limited the Spiders to two shots on goal, three corner kicks and drew Richmond offsides five times. It all amounted to very little pressure on URI keeper Faith Hutchins, who recorded her third shutout of the season.
