How it Happened
Rhode Island battled all night, but could not come up with enough offense, falling at Richmond 64-57 Tuesday night.

Richmond (11-8, 4-2 A-10) got off to a 9-0 lead by the 16:18 mark, largely behind Tyler Burton. He scored the first seven points of the contest and finished with a game-high 23 points.

From that point forward, URI (6-12, 2-4 Atlantic 10) outscored the Spiders. However, every time the Rams got within striking distance, Richmond would go on mini runs to keep Rhody at an arm's length. Richmond's size clogged the middle defensively, forcing URI to rely on jump shots.

In the end, URI was unable to close the gap.
