How it Happened
Rhode Island cruised to a 96-54 victory over Assumption in an exhibition game on Wednesday night at The Ryan Center.

The Rams controlled the tempo from the moment that Tyson Brown made the opening layup less than 30 seconds in. There were times during the first half that Assumption threatened to close in, notably trimming the deficit down to 26-22 with 8:31 to go, but the Greyhounds struggled to overtake their hosts.

Jaden House led all scorers with 14 points at the break, helping Rhody take a 46-34 lead into the locker room.

Things fell apart for Assumption in the second half, as the team suffered through numerous scoring droughts. Rhode Island continued to demonstrate its offensive firepower, as six different players reached the double-digits in scoring.

The Rams padded their lead until a Cam Estevez layup officially put them up by 40 with less than four minutes to go. Rhode Island emptied out the bench in the final few minutes, with both Jimmy Ball and Ray Allen III making appearances.
