KINGSTON, R.I. - The Rhode Island women's rowing team will hit the road once again, heading off to New Jersey for the Saint Joseph's Invite on Saturday, April 8. 

This is the third-straight year that the Rams will compete in the event, which was previously called the Overpeck Invite. It will serve as somewhat of a preview for the Atlantic 10 Conference Championship as, in addition to Rhode Island, fellow A-10 members George Washington, Massachusetts and Saint Joseph's will be in attendance. 

Racing is set to begin at the Overpeck Park Rowing Center (NJ) at 9:40 a.m. There will be a set of morning and afternoon races for the Varsity 8+, Second Varsity 8+, First Varsity 4+, Third Varsity 8+ and Second Varsity 4+. 

Rhode Island will compete in each of the three 8+ races, as well as in the First Varsity 4+. The Rams will face off against Marist, Bucknell and George Washington in the morning action, with the exception that the Third Varsity 8+ will only take on Bucknell. In the afternoon, the top two eights and the four will line up against UConn, Saint Joseph's and Lehigh before the Third Varsity 8+ faces off against George Washington and UConn.
