How It Happened
Two of the nation's stingiest defenses combined for a 0-0 draw between Rhode Island and Bryant Tuesday night.

The teams entered the night with a combined 10 shutouts between them. Visiting Bryant recorded its seventh clean sheet of the season, while it was the fifth of the year for Rhody.

While neither side scored, it was Rhode Island with the more dominant chances. The Rams had six shots on goal to just one for the Bulldogs. Ivan Montoro nearly got Rhody on the board three minutes into the match. He one-timed a pass from just outside the top of the box, but Bryant keeper Antreas Hadjigavriel dove low to his right to just knock the shot away.

A pair of set pieces for URI nearly resulted in goals in the second half. In the 64th minute, Brandon Bermingham sent a ball into the box from 18 yards out that Isnaba Namussé was able to get a foot on, but the shot was knocked away by a defender. In the 68th minute, a Bermingham corner kick found the head of Joan Sanchis, but the shot went just wide.
