How It Happened
Rhode Island was blanked for the second straight match as it lost to Saint Louis 1-0 Saturday night.
Saint Louis struck early, getting a goal from Luis Lara. A long cross was headed to Lara in the box, and he headed into the net for a 1-0 lead at 15:24. Matthew Wrobel and Seth Anderson assisted on the goal for the Billikens.
Despite outshooting Saint Louis 12-6, Rhode Island was unable to find the back of the net against keeper Jeremi Abonnel, who made four saves to record his Atlantic 10-leading sixth shutout of the season.
