How it Happened
The Rams battled, but fell at Dayton Sunday afternoon. Rhody had a late-game chance but couldn't find the back of the net and was sent home with the loss.

Rhody keeper Chelsea Mohammed, making her debut between the posts for the Rams, was tested early. She made six saves in the first half, including a penalty kick just before the half, but Diana Benigno's shot was stopped by Mohammed and the teams were sent into the break scoreless.

Kyra Karfonta drew a call in the box to open the second half of play and this time connected on the penalty kick. The score came in the 50th minute.

Forward Lauren MacDonald drew a penalty kick when she was taken down in the box in the 84th minute. Kyra Samalonis took the kick for Rhody, but a diving save by Dayton keeper Batoul Reda knocked the shot away. Aida Name got to the rebound first and drilled a low shot on target, but Reda dove back to her left and made another save, pushing the shot off the far post to deny the Rams.
