How it Happened
Rhode Island dropped its first league contest Thursday night in a 1-0 battle at Duquesne.Â
Rhody and Duquesne kept things even in the first half, both registering a shot on goal. Although the Rams held the advantage in corners in the first 45 minutes of play 3-0, they couldn't connect and the teams went into the break knotted at zero.Â
In the 23rd minute, Duquesne broke through after Mackenzie Muir found the back of the net on a penalty kick.Â
Rhody managed just one more shot on the frame for the evening, as the Dukes' aggressive offense proved to be too much and the Rams were sent home with the loss.Â
