How it Happened
Rhode Island could not complete the comeback as it fell at La Salle 70-64 Saturday afternoon.

Trailing by seven points at 53-46, Rhody (14-6, 3-5 Atlantic 10) managed to tie the score with a 7-0 run that featured six points from Jaden House. However, La Salle (11-9, 3-4 A-10) got a 3-pointer from Corey McKeithan to retake the lead 56-53 with 5:36 to go.

The Explorers kept Rhode Island at an arm's length down the stretch, never giving up the lead. Over the final two minutes, La Salle was 10-for-10 at the free throw line, never giving the Rams a chance to get back to even.

McKeithan had a game-high 20 points and Deuce Jones added 13 – nine of which came at the stripe – as La Salle handed Rhode Island its second straight defeat. It is the first time this season the Rams have dropped consecutive games.
