KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island senior
Olivia Winslow was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Swimming and Diving Performer of the Week, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Winslow earned the honor - the first of her career - by sweeping the diving events to help Rhode Island defeat Siena and Stonehill in its season-opening meet on Saturday. It was the first time in her career Winslow has swept the diving events. She has won the 3-meter dive four times and the 1-meter dive twice.
On Saturday, she won the 1-meter dive with a score of 282.75, beating the rest of the field by 42 points or more. She also won the 3-meter dive with a score of 274.05, beating teammate
Kelsey Kreuscher (271.80). In both events, Winslow led a 1-2-3 sweep for Rhode Island.
Rhode Island holds its home opener against Northeastern in the Tootell Aquatic Center on Saturday, Oct. 18. The meet begins at 12 p.m.
