How it Happened
Rhode Island fell to Saint Louis 4-1 on Sunday afternoon. Saint Louis forward Julia Simon led the way for the Billikens with a three-goal performance. 

Rhode Island opened the scoring in the first half. After a Saint Louis foul on Hannah Larson, Rhody's McKenna Sylvester scored on a free kick giving Rhode Island the 1-0 advantage.

Saint Louis then went on to score the next four goals. Three of which came off the foot of Simon. Two of Simon's goals came on penalty kicks, one at 14:19 and the other at 58:18.

  • McKenna Sylvester notched her team-high eighth goal of the season.
  • Sylvester now has 19 points this season, which is also a team-high. 
  • The loss snaps a five-game unbeaten streak for Rhody.
