KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island wrapped up the Fall portion of its schedule with two strong days of competition at the URI Fall Invite over the weekend.

All eight Rhode Island players won at least two matches between singles and doubles play over the weekend. The Rams won all eight singles matches and three of four doubles matches against Providence on Saturday. The following day, Rhody won seven of eight singles matches against Bryant.

There were no team results for the weekend.

Grace Darcy, Sophie Herrman, Kajsa Helgesen, Anastasia Pettersson Stephanie Hylton, Ava Grnja and Blake Rothchild all went 2-0 in singles play. Grnja finished the Fall with a perfect 5-0 record in singles.

"We had a good tournament at home this weekend," Rhode Island head coach Jonas Brobeck said. "The team is getting better, and we are understanding how we need to compete in the different stages of the match. We need to continue to develop the rest of the fall and clean some things up in doubles."

Nikki Fernando picked up a singles win Saturday. She also paired with Helgesen for a doubles victory on Sunday against Bryant. It was URI's lone doubles win against Bryant after URI won three of the four doubles matches the day before.
