How it Happened
No. 11/9 Rhode Island (8-2, 7-0 CAA Football) dominated from the start to finish, pounding Maine 45-13 Saturday afternoon.
The Rams built a 28-7 lead by halftime and never let the Black Bears (6-5, 5-2 CAA Football) back into the game. Running backs
Antwain Littleton, Jr. and Brendan Barrow each ran for two touchdowns.
Devin Farrell threw for two more touchdowns and 221 yards as Rhode Island won its fifth straight game.
With the victory, Rhode Island moved within one game of the program's first perfect season in CAA Football. URI has not lost a league game since Nov. 9 of 2024, when it fell to Delaware, 24-21.

Devin Farrell was 16-of-22 for 221 yards, two touchdowns and no interceptions.
Farrell moved into fourth place in program history with 32 touchdown passes, passing Derek Cassidy (31 from 2005-08).
Marquis Buchanan led the Rams with six catches for 138 yards, including a 63-yard touchdown.
Buchanan now has 1,040 receiving yards for the season.
He joined Brian Forster as the only URI players with multiple 1,000-yard receiving yard seasons. Forster topped 1,000 yards in 1985 and 1984.
Antwain Littleton, Jr. rushed for 202 yards and two touchdowns.
The last Ram to top 200 yards in a game was
Malik Grant with 204 yards at Bryant last season.
The 202 rushing yards are the eighth-highest single-game total in program history.
AJ Pena had one sack, pushing his program record to 36.5.
Moses Meus led the team with nine tackles.
