KINGSTON, R.I. -
Archie Miller and his staff locked up three key recruits for the 2026-27 season, each of whom has signed a National Letter of Intent with the program.
The Rams added 6-9 Lithuanian forward Nedas Raupelis; consensus three-star point guard Jaen Chatman out of Blair Academy in New Jersey; and 6-8 wing Tim Martin out of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Raupelis made a strong impression at the FIBA U20 EuroBasket Championship, where he helped Lithuania earn a silver medal. Over six games, he averaged 8.5 points and 5.5 rebounds. In the championship game loss to Italy, he scored 16 points.

"Nedas Raupelis looks poised for swift impact in the A-10 with his interior finishing, rebounding, rim-protection, vertical pop, energy, mobility, and defensive versatility," said Jon Chepkevich, director of scouting for DraftExpress.
"Raupelis has proven himself elite around the rim on both ends - hammering home dunks and swatting shots left and right with high-major athleticism," Chepkevich said. "One of the top bigs at the 2025 U20 Eurobasket and a high-impact starter for Zalgiris II in the LKL, Raupelis represents a big-time recruiting coup for
Archie Miller that Rams fans should be excited about."
One of the top points guard recruits nationally, Chatman was ranked No. 25 in the country by 247Sports. Overall, he is a consensus top-200 recruit nationally, regardless of position. Recruited heavily within the Atlantic 10, choosing Rhode Island over the likes of Boston College, George Mason, Saint Joseph's, Fordham and Binghamton.
According to 247Sports, he also drew interest from Xavier, West Virginia, Seton Hall, George Washington, La Salle, Massachusetts, Northeastern, Hofstra and Towson.
"We are extremely happy about adding Jaen to our program," Miller said. "He is an exceptional talent at the point guard position. Jaen is athletic and physically gifted, and he has the skillset to be very effective on both sides of the ball."
Now at Blair Academy in New Jersey, Chatman spent two seasons at East Stroudsburg South, averaging 24.3 points, 3.0 assists 6.1 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game.
"Jaen is a lethal 3-point shooter who also is skilled at getting to the basket and creating plays for his teammates. Defensively, he is tough, hard-nosed and extremely competitive. He comes from a proven program at Blair Academy that plays a competitive schedule every year. This is a proven winner, and Rhody fans are going to love watching him play."
In Martin, Rhode Island is getting a versatile weapon who has grown eight inches since he started high school. A three-level scorer with a shooter's touch from the perimeter, Martin has shown both the ability to stretch the defense while also finishing at the rim.
"Tim is a versatile forward that has become one of the best players in the state of Ohio over the last few years," said Kevin Johnson, Martin's head coach at Summit Country Day School. "When he arrived at Summit, Tim was a 6-foot guard, and now he stands at 6-8 and is still growing. The sky is the limit for him as a basketball player.
"Tim had a lot of good college choices to choose from, but he and his family believed Rhode Island was the best place for him to reach his potential. Rhody fans are going to love watching him play. It has been a pleasure to coach Tim and to get to know his family over the years."
Martin held offers from Brown, Miami (Ohio), Western Carolina, Florida International, Kent State and Cleveland State.
