How It Happened
A steady hit parade saw Rhode Island score in six out of seven innings as the Rams pounded College of Charleston 12-4 at the Lowcountry Classic Friday night.

Rhode Island (1-1) had 18 hits and scored in every inning except the second. Six different players had multi-hit performances and nine different players scored at least one run as the Rams led for the entire game.

With the offense steadily increasing the lead throughout the game, junior Ashley Hibbard earned the win in the circle. She allowed just one earned run over 4.0 innings of work. Freshman Brooke Gerry pitched the final three innings to earn the save.
