How it Happened
Rhode Island struggled offensively throughout as it fell to George Washington 54-46 Saturday afternoon in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Rhode Island (16-15, 11-7 A-10) shot a season-worst 27.7 percent (18-for-65) from the field. Visiting George Washington (11-18, 5-13 A-10) led for nearly 35 minutes despite the clunky, low-scoring nature of the game.

The Revolutionaries built a 12-point led in the fourth quarter after a Makayla Andrews layup with 8:53 to go. Rhody finally showed life with a 15-6 run that cut the game down to a one-possession affair. A Katie Ledden 3-pointer made the score 47-44 with 3:44 to go.

However, that was as close as things got. GW outscored Rhode Island 7-2 down the stretch to close out the win.
