KINGSTON, R.I. – Rhode Island junior Aidan O'Donovan has been named the Atlantic 10 Men's Golfer of the Week for the week of April 7, the league announced Wednesday.

O'Donovan led the Rams to the team title at the Dragon Match Play Invitational, hosted by Drexel. During the two-round stroke play portion of the event, O'Donovan tied for second in the 42-player field, shooting even par over 36 holes. His play paved the way for Rhode Island to finish nine strokes ahead of the rest of the field in stroke play.

In the match play portion, O'Donovan's 5&4 win over Longwood's Nick Fleming in the finals clinched the team title for URI. It was the fifth team title in nine events this year for Rhode Island.

URI competes at the Atlantic 10 Championship beginning Tuesday, April 22.
