DePino Secures D1Baseball Third Team All-American Honors

KINGSTON, R.I. - Rhode Island Baseball's Anthony DePino was named became the program's first D1Baseball.com All-American when he was named to the organization's Third Team over the weekend.

Though the Rams have had 13 different players earn some sort of All-American recognition over the years, DePino is the first to be recognized by D1Baseball.com.

The honor comes on the heels of the third baseman landing both ABCA/Rawlings Second Team All-American and Perfect Game Third Team All-American accolades. The Madison, Conn. product also received All-Atlantic 10 First Team and All-Eastern College Athletic Conference honors, as well as First Team All-Northeast Regional laurels from the ABCA/Rawlings.

DePino had a standout senior campaign, finishing the season as one of the nation's best hitter. With the 2025 NCAA Division I Baseball season officially in the books, he finished the year with solid spots in the nation's top 20 in runs scored (second, 85), walks (10th, 57), total bases (18th, 165) and on-base percentage (20th, .505).

In his final season in Kingston, DePino helped the team win both the Atlantic 10's regular season and conference tournament titles while boosting URI to a program-record 38 victories. By winning the Atlantic 10 Baseball Tournament, Rhode Island clinched the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship and subsequently played in the Baton Rouge Regional, hosted by eventual national champion No. 6 LSU.

As a Ram, DePino sits at the top of the program record book in career runs scored (201), home runs (65), runs batted in (181), total bases (475), extra-base hits (118) and walks (153), while checking into many other career and single-season top-10 categories.  In his 2025, he started all 58 games he played in at the hot corner where he fielded .924 with 105 assists.

Rhode Island and George Mason were the only Atlantic 10 programs represented on the D1Baseball All-American Teams, as the Patriots' James Quinn-Irons (OF) earned First Team honors.
