How it Happened
In a game that was scoreless for nearly 89:00, the Rams were able to escape Holy Cross with a victory to get back on track before conference play.Â
With just over 60 seconds left to play, Lily Camacho had a blast from 40 yards out that got past an outstretched keeper Aubrey Haesche.
The Rams outshot the Crusaders 8-4 in the first half, but were unable to find the back of the net. The teams went into the break scoreless.Â
In the second half, the Crusaders had a chance to go up a score after Abigail Cushing had a shot that was stopped by keeper Dani Eden. Cushing - Holy Cross's biggest offensive threat - had two of the five Crusader shots on the frame. As the clock was winding down, Eden sent the ball up field and it was deflected by a Holy Cross player and into the possession of Camacho.Â
The Seton Hall transfer scored her first goal as a Ram and sent Rhody home with the win in the non-conference finale.
