KINGSTON, R.I. - In partnership with Rhode Island Medical Imaging and in support of the Gloria Gemma Breast Cancer Research Foundation, Rhode Island's football game against New Hampshire on Saturday, Oct. 11 will be a pink out.
"Rhode Island Medical Imaging [RIMI] has been a proud partner of URI Athletics for ten years now," John A. Pezzullo, MD, FACR, President of Rhode Island Medical Imaging said. "We both share a commitment to excellence in everything we do. On and off the courts and fields, our collaboration with URI advances RIMI's mission to improve the lives of those we serve in our community. Through events such as our Pink Out games, we help raise awareness for the progress we have made in breast cancer care and the importance of all health screenings. Together, we are helping Rhode Islanders lead healthier and more active lives – and cheering on some of our favorite home teams."
Those in attendance are encouraged to wear pink in support of the team's efforts to raise breast cancer awareness. As presenting sponsor of the contest, Rhode Island Medical Imaging will be giving away 250 exclusive pink shirts to students.
