How it Happened
Loyola Chicago got a goal in the 83rd minute to pull out a 2-1 victory over Rhode Island Saturday afternoon.

Beck Rettenmaier sent a long pass up the right sideline to Luka Ivancic, who got behind the Ram defense while staying onside. Ivancic sent a lot shot on net that keeper Caleb McNeil was able to get a piece of. However, it was not enough as the pass slipped by into the net.

Rhody struck first in the 39th minute. Sebastian Berntsen curled a free kick into the box, and defender Tim Huhnholz got his head on it. The shot just got over the end line for the goal.

Loyola Chicago caught a break late in the first half. With 20 seconds to go, Berntsen was booked for a yellow card, which stopped the clock. The Ramblers set up a free kick by Joaquin Rodriguez Ortiz, whose entry pass was headed home by Daniel Firs to tie score heading into the half.

Despite getting seven shots on goal and five corner kicks in the second half, the Rams came up short in their attempt to tie the match.
