Manhattan (3-9) dominated from the start, sweeping Rhode Island 25-18, 25-18, 25-15 Saturday afternoon. Emma Francesconi had 14 kills and Fiona VanDyke added 12 as the Jaspers hit .358 as a team. Rhode Island (3-9) fell in its final non-conference match of the regular season.

The host Jaspers led from wire to wire to take control early. Emma Francesconi and Fiona VanDyke each had five kills for Manhattan, which hit .393 and had 13 kills in the opening set.
Set Two – Manhattan 25, Rhode Island 18
Rhode Island led 17-16 following a
Chloe Abuto service ace. However, Manhattan used a 9-1 run to close out the set. It was Emma Francesconi leading the way with seven kills for the Jaspers.
Set Three – Manhattan 25, Rhode Island 15
With the score tied 5-5, Manhattan went on a 9-2 run to open a 14-7 lead. From there, Rhody could not get any momentum going, and the host Jaspers cruised to the win.
